New Materials and Good Deals

Mar 14, 2017

The new edition of Holistic Management is selling better than expected. In fact, it’s about to go into a second printing! The book is now widely available – in the U.S. from Savory Institute and Amazon.com, in Australia from New South Books: (https://www.newsouthbooks.com.au/books/holistic-management_a-commonsense-revolution-to-restore-our-environment/) and in Canada and the U.K. from Amazon.com as well as on our website. We’re also excited to announce that a Spanish edition is also in the works and may be published as early as late this year or early 2018. We’ll let you know when it becomes available in South and North America and Spain, and how to order.

The new edition of Holistic Management has led to revisions in our series of Holistic Management ebooks, as well as the planning and monitoring forms we also offer in our online store. We took this opportunity to enhance their design and to offer more options for downloading and printing. Here are the highlights:

Ebooks 2017

We’re now offering all 13 ebooks in both pdf and iBooks format. You can print out the pdf files, or use the iBooks files for reading on a tablet computer – a far superior reading experience. Because the iBooks layout is “fixed” you cannot highlight text, but you can now:
• Search
• Bring up the Table of Contents with hot links to a given page
• Bookmark pages
• Consult the dictionary
• Scan page thumbnails to quickly navigate into your ebook

What About the Holistic Management Handbook?
The new edition of Holistic Management led to improvements in each of the planning and monitoring procedures too. Since we have no plans to update the Holistic Management Handbook (2006), which explains each of the Holistic Management planning and monitoring procedures in detail, we have updated and beefed up the ebooks dedicated to each procedure: Holistic Financial Planning, Holistic Planned Grazing, Holistic Land Planning and Holistic Ecological Monitoring.

Forms & Worksheets 2017

The updating of the ebooks led to changes, most of them minor, in the planning and monitoring forms and worksheets available in our online store. This year we’re not only offering updated versions but also additional versions of the grazing plan and control chart – for planning with up to 20 paddocks, or up to 35-paddocks – and two different printing options: an economy version that you print out on two sheets of standard-sized-paper and tape together, and the oversize version that requires a digital output printer (the kind you print house plans on and that most copy/print shops have). The oversize financial planning spreadsheet (Annual Income & Expense Plan), also has these same printing options.

Let us know how they work for you!
